Statue arrives in Manchester NH!

She Is Here!

The statue arrived in Manchester just before 6 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2010.

It was escorted all the way from Gettysburg, PA by members of the Association and by Patriot Guard Riders in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Along the way, many people lined the route on the side of the road, even on overpass bridges.

The Association thanks all who made this escort possible, with special thanks to all of the Patriot Guard Riders who braved the downpour of rain at the beginning of the trip!

Initial Casting Has Started.

The NH Gold Star Mothers Association is pleased to announce that the casting of the Gold Star Mothers Statue commenced in January 2010 when the committee made the first of three payments.

As of  April 1, 2010: the eighteen (18) wax molds have been completed by the sculptor and will go to the foundry to start the second phase of creating the statue;  pouring of the melted bronze. The production schedule will allow the statue to be unveiled in Manchester, NH on Thursday, August 19, 2010.
